Otto Berg Park is configured as a traditional park, with a ballfield, sports courts and play structures. But Township parks are also hosting new recreational activities. These are three of the newest that are being enjoyed in our parks.
Arcola Heights Park -
Disc Golf, commonly known as frisbee golf, is an affordable activity suitable for young and old, male and female. Played like traditional ball golf, Disc Golf involves throwing a disc from a tee-off point to a target (usually a metal basket with chains). Players keep count of throws (or strokes), and the lowest number of strokes wins. more
Munzee is a real world scavenger hunt game in which items called munzees are found in the real world and “captured” using your smartphone. You gain rank based on the score you amass by capturing munzees or having others capture munzees you deploy. Munzee is based on the fundamentals of geocaching and adds another layer of fun to the hunt. more
