Open Book Meetings - 2026

Open Book Meetings Information for Property Owners

Details on Valuation Notices and Ways to Connect with an Appraiser

This year, information regarding Open Book Meetings will be included on the Valuation Notices sent out by Washington County in March. In addition to being provided in these notices, details about the meetings will also be posted on the assessor website. Please note that this is a dedicated site for the assessor’s office and is not the main county website.

Options for Property Owners

Property owners have two convenient options to discuss their property valuations:

1.       Attend a Regional Open Book Meeting:

There will be three regional open book meetings where property owners can meet with appraisers, ask questions, and discuss their property assessments.

2.       Contact the Assessor’s Office by Phone:

If you prefer, you may call the assessor’s office directly and speak to an appraiser. This phone consultation is equivalent in effect to attending an open book meeting.

Equal Consideration

Whether you choose to attend an open book meeting in person or contact the office by phone, your concerns and questions will be addressed with the same level of attention and care. Both methods allow you to discuss your property’s valuation and receive guidance from a qualified appraiser.

Additional Information

For further details, please refer to your upcoming Valuation Notice or visit the assessor website. Meeting times, locations, and contact information will be provided in these resources.
