Annual Meeting Agendas & Minutes

Minnesota State law governing townships requires an annual meeting, during which residents are able to discuss and vote upon a budget and tax levy for the township’s coming fiscal year. This meeting is held on the second Tuesday in March.

The Town Clerk brings the meeting to order and oversees the process of nominating and voting upon a moderator for the evening. The moderator is chosen from among those attending the meeting.

Typically, residents hear reports from various committees and the Community Service Officer before turning to the business of discussing and voting upon the proposed budget and tax levy.

At the Township Annual Meeting each year on the second Tuesday in March, the residents vote to approve the Treasurer’s Statement from the previous year along with the Budget and Tax Levy amount for the following year.
